Foods to avoid high cholesterol | When should I start worrying about my cholesterol?

When should I start worrying about my cholesterol?

I’m 15 and I just ate two eggs per day. (Each school day, at least.) I looked at the egg cartons and she said one egg contains 79% of the daily value of cholesterol. This means that I exceed the recommended amount of cholesterol in my first meal! I wonder, two eggs, five days a week bad? Should I quit? The people that I am young and I do not want to talk about my cholesterol at that age not worry if yes, when will I say?

No, I do not want to sound like a skeptic of controversies, but you need to personally get tested for your cholesterol before you raise concern.

Having a high cholesterol is genetically determined and independent of weight or diet. I am overweight and eat many, many eggs a week as a low-calorie nutritious meal to help lose weight. I have had my cholesterol tested many times even after eating a dozen eggs over several days with little affect to my blood health. Keeping cholesterol within your system depends on genetics solely typically.

High Cholesterol levels are often genetic. If either of your parents have elevated Cholesterol levels, then it may not be a bad idea (the next time you have blood-work) to have a base-line cholesterol check.

My dad has very high cholesterol (made by the body) and I was tested as a teenager. I’ve been on medication since I was 17.

If you are concerned that you are eating too many eggs, then cut the amount down to a few times a week.
